President Jokowi Visits MSMEs at Mandalika Fair

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and First Lady Iriana Jokowi, Thursday (01/13), visited micro, small, and medium enterprise area at Mandalika Fair in Central Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara province.

At the fair, the President and the First Lady stopped by several MSME stalls, including pearl jewellery, woven fabric, and shoe stalls.

On that occasion, President Jokowi bought red shoes with a combination of Sundawa woven fabric produced by Sentosa Sasak Tenun MSME from Pringgasela village. In the meantime, Ibu Iriana bought two bags made of climbing fern produced by Mawar Ketak Lombok MSME.

Afterward, the Head of State gave cash assistance directly to several MSME merchants, one of whom is a woven fabric merchant from Sade village.

For the record, Mandalika Fair is an MSME area that has become a place where MSME players around Mandalika Special Economic Zone gather. The fair will be a new tourist destination for tourists who visit Mandalika.

Furthermore, Mandalika Fair will be a small trade center in Mandalika area. To date, 287 MSMEs have occupied stalls at Mandalika Fair.

Joining the President and the First Lady during the visit were Minister of State Secretariat Pratikno, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Minister of Cooperatives and MSMEs Teten Masduki, Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Zulkieflimansyah, and MotoGP Mandalika 2022 Field Commander Hadi Tjahjanto.
