President Jokowi Visits National Heroes Monument, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum in Hanoi

Kicking off his working visit to Vietnam, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Friday (01/12) visited the Vietnam National Heroes Monument and Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum in Hanoi.

Upon arrival at the monument, President Jokowi was welcomed by Head of the Vietnamese Presidential Palace Lê Khánh Hải. The President then attended the wreath-laying ceremony to honor the heroes.

Afterwards, the President headed to the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where he took part in the wreath-laying ceremony to honor the Vietnam’s first president and prime minister, Ho Chi Minh.

Following the ceremony, the President is slated to visit the Presidential Palace to meet with the Vietnamese President Võ Văn Thưởng. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (FI/EP)
