President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (01/19) visited Airmadidi traditional market, in North Minahasa regency, North Sulawesi province.

The arrival of President Jokowi was greeted enthusiastically by the people who had been waiting for him since morning.

The President went around the market to distribute social assistance in the form of staple food and cash assistance. He also inspected the prices of basic commodities.

“I check the prices of basic commodities, rice, cooking oil. I think in North Sulawesi, the conditions are stable, inflation is also very well maintained at 4 percent in Manado city and its surrounding areas. I think it is very good,” the President told the press.
