President Jokowi Visits Quake Victims at Cianjur Hospital
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (11/24) visited earthquake victims in Sayang Cianjur regional general hospital (RSUD), Cianjur regency, West Java province.
During the visit, President Jokowi said the Government would ensure that the victims get effective treatment.
“Earlier this morning, I said that rescue and evacuations come first. I came here to ensure that the victims are well treated,” he said.
According to the President, the number of patients receiving inpatient treatment at Sayang Cianjur regional general hospital declined from 714 to 24, with some of them having been discharged while the others referred to hospital in neighboring cities such as Bandung, Jakarta, and Sukabumi for better medical treatment.
For the record, the President arrived at the hospital at around 10.58 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.
Upon arrival, he headed to medical tents at the field of Sayang Cianjur Hospital to talk with the patients affected by Cianjur quake and distribute cash assistance to them. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (RAS/EP)
