President Jokowi Visits Shopping Center in Medan City

During his second day of working visit to North Sumatra province, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Thursday (02/09) visited DeliPark Mall, in Medan city, the capital of North Sumatra. Along with his two grandchildren, Sedah Mirah and Panembahan Al Nahyan, as well as Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution, the President received enthusiastic welcome from mall visitors.

The mall’s calm ambience drastically changed when a lot of people excitedly asked the President to take photos together.

A visitor of the mall, Yohana, said that she did not expect to meet President Jokowi.

“This is like a dream, I was so stressed about my work when suddenly out of the blue I saw him, I was just passing through after office hours, unfortunately I was unable to meet, only saw him from a distance” she said.

During his visit, the President took time to enjoy an arcade game along with his two grandchildren. Afterward, he entered several clothing stores and bought a pink sport pants and a sport t-shirt for his grandchildren. (BPMI SETPRES/AIT)(AS/RAS/MMB)
