President Jokowi Welcomes 2019 with Optimism

Indonesian people must remain optimistic in 2019, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has said on the 2019 New Year’s Eve at Bogor Presidential Palace, Monday (31/12).

“There is no special celebration in welcoming 2019. The most important thing for next year is to remain optimistic,” President Jokowi said.

During the New Year’s Eve, President Jokowi invited several food stall owners to serve their dishes at the Bogor Palace and enjoyed them together with Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres) personnel as well as employees of Bogor Palace.

One of the Assistants to the President said that President Jokowi and his family did not hold special celebration to welcome the New Year.
