President Jokowi Welcomes Brunei Sultan, Australia PM at Merdeka Palace

Few hours before the presidential inauguration ceremony on Sunday (20/10), President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo received honorary visits from a number of world leaders, who were also scheduled to attend the ceremony.

Sultan Hassanah Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam was the first guest to arrive at the Merdeka Palace. President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana welcomed the Sultan at the stairs of the Palace. Both leaders then headed to the Credential room for a joint-photo session and entered the Jepara room to have a bilateral talk.

Afterwards, President Jokowi welcomed Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison who was accompanied by his spouse Jenny Morrison.
