President Jokowi Welcomes Czech PM at Bogor Palace

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo welcomed Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, on Tuesday (04/18) afternoon at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java province.

PM Petr Fiala arrived at the Bogor Presidential Palace at around 16.00 Western Indonesian Time escorted by cavalry troops and the marching band of the Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres).

The Czech PM was greeted by President Jokowi at the Palace’s courtyard where an official ceremony was held. Both countries’ anthems, Kde domov můj and Indonesia Raya, then were played interspersed by the thump of cannon. Afterward, both leaders inspected the troops and saluted the flags of the two countries.

On that occasion, they also introduced their respective delegation. President Jokowi was accompanied by, among others, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi and Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi.

Then, they headed to Teratai Room to have a photo session and to sign the guest book. After having a conversation for a moment at the Palace’s veranda, both leaders had a tree planting session at the backyard of the Palace. Later, the President invited the Czech PM to go around Bogor Botanical Garden by a golf car. (AW/MMB)
