President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday (19/7) at the State Palace met with the Indonesian Scout Movement Contingent that will take part in the 24th World Scout Jamboree.

The event will be held between 27 July and 2 August 2019 in West Virginia, The United States.

Chairman of the Indonesian Scout Movement Budi Waseso reported that the contingent consists of 80 personnel; including 67 participants aged 14-17 years and the contingent leaders and officials.

“The contingent will join 45,000 participants from more than 150 countries worldwide. The camping will be held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, a United States Scout’s camping ground located within West Virginia National Park,” Budi said.

This year’s World Scout Jamboree adopts the theme of “Unlock a New World”.

“The theme is expected to encourage the participants to unlock their abilities for their future,” Budi added.
