President Jokowi Welcomes Muhammadiyah Youth Wing Representatives at Merdeka Palace

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (03/27) received a visit from representatives of Central Executive Board of Muhammadiyah Youth Wing at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.
“We appreciate President Jokowi’s attention to the national movement of youth development, especially for Muhammadiyah Youth,” Chairperson of Muhammadiyah Youth Wing Dzulfikar Ahmad Tawalla said after the meeting.
Muhammadiyah Youth, Dzulfikar added, also conveyed four main points produced in the 18th Muhammadiyah Youth Conference to President Jokowi, namely reinforcement of Progressive Islamic movement, social entrepreneurship movement, scientific movement, and national political movement.
“We underline, more or less, two main points on national political movement and social entrepreneurship movement,” Dzulfikar said.
President Jokowi also expressed support for youth movements, especially in economic movement. Quoting the President, Dzulfikar said that the youth must determine the focus of their movement on economic development at the moment, especially the one that based on the people and micro, small, and medium enterprises.
“Today, Muhammadiyah Youth have answered the challenge. We have prepared a series of concepts and ideas, even included in the composition,” Dzulfikar concluded. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/AIT) (GWH/MUR)
