President Jokowi Wishes Christians Merry Christmas

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Sunday (12/25) delivered Christmas greetings to Christians attending Christmas services at several churches in Bogor city, West Java province.

The first church the President visited was the Protestant Church in Western Indonesia (GPIB) of the Zebaoth Congregation. The President, along with the Mayor of Bogor Bima Arya, greeted the congregation.

“It is my hope that we can maintain our fraternity, strengthen our fraternity, and foster harmony among us,” he said while wishing the congregation a merry and peaceful Christmas.

After observing the Christmas celebration at the GPIB church, the President continued his visit to the Bogor Cathedral where he delivered his greetings to the Christians observing services.

“Let us continue to strengthen our fraternity and harmony for the betterment of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Merry Christmas. May God bless us all,” he remarked. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat/UN) (DH/MUR)
