President Jokowi Wishes Women to Develop Business through Mekaar Assistance Program

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo met with recipients of Fostering Economy for Prosperous Families (known as Mekaar) program. This program aims to help women from low-income families who do not have the capital to start a business.

On that occasion, President Jokowi said that super micro businesses assisted by the Government in each province are expected to help those women to develop their business.

The President also reminded the recipients to wisely spend the money  and should not waste it to buy consumption goods, such as clothes and gadgets. Furthermore, he also reminded them to repay their debt on time.

“The Government wishes the recipients to stay financially disciplined and always repay the debt on time while developing the businesses,” said the President. (FID/JAY/ES)
