President Jokowi Witnesses Continuation of Armada Jaya XXXIV/2016 Exercise Series
President Joko Jokowi Widodo on Thursday (15/9) at Banongan Beach, Asem Bagus Subdistrict, Situbondo Regency witnessed the Armada Jaya XXXIV/2016 training.
Previously, the Presidents arrival at the location was welcomed by Indonesian Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Ade Supandi.
The President also received the Rows of Honor and Report from the 5 Baluran Combat Training Center Command.
The President then proceeded to the third floor of Banongan Beach Observation Tower to watch the landing process of marine personnels, and artillery firing.
Consecutively, three series of amphibious vehicle performed maneuver, starting with the first series consists of 17 BMP3F amphibious tanks which were launced from KRI Surabaya, an Indonesian naval battleship.
The second series consists of 14 amphibious tanks which were launched from the same battleship, and the third series consists of 10 personnel carrier amphibious landing vehicles which were launched from KRI Makassar.
President Jokowi and the entourage headed to the second location in T12 area on an amphibious tank to witness the series of amphibious raid exercise to establish beachhead.
The Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) Commander Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, East Java Governor Soekarwo, and Indonesian Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Ade Supandi accompanied President Jokowi during the event. (UN/DNA/ES) (RAS/EP/YM/Naster)
