President Jokowi Witnesses Oath-taking Ceremony of Supreme Court Deputy Chief

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (04/03) witnessed Sunarto taking the oath of office as Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for Judicial Affairs for 2023-2027 period, at the State Palace, Jakarta.

The inauguration ceremony was commenced with the reverberation of national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and followed by the recitation of Presidential Decree Number 12/P of 2023 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court by Secretary to Minister of State Secretariat Setya Utama.

Afterwards, Sunarto took oath of office before President Jokowi.

“In the name of Allah, I do solemnly swear that I will take responsibility as the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for Judicial Affairs in the best and fairest way possible. Bear true faith and allegiance to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and execute all laws and regulations in an upright manner according to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia for the sake of the state and nation,” the oath read.

After the oath-taking and minutes of signing, the national anthem “Indonesia Raya” was reverberated again to conclude the inauguration ceremony. (FID/UN) (GWH/RAS/HD)
