President Jokowi Witnesses Taking Oath Ceremony of Constitutional Court Chief, Deputy

President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo Monday (03/20) witnessed the taking oath of Anwar Usman and Saldi Isra as Chief and Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court for 2023-2028 period, at the Constitutional Court office, Jakarta.

The inauguration of Anwar and Saldi is based on Constitutional Court Decree Number 4 of 2023 on the Appointment of Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court for 2023-2028 period stipulated in Jakarta on March 15, 2023 and Constitutional Court Decree Number 5 of 2023 on the Appointment of Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court for 2023-2028 period stipulated in Jakarta on March 15, 2023.

“In the name of Allah, I do solemnly swear that I will take responsibility as the Chief/Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court in a good and just manner, bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia 1945 and apply all laws and regulations in an upright manner according to the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia 1945 for the sake of the nation and country,” the oath read.

After the taking oath ceremony and minutes signing, President Jokowi and guests congratulated the newly-inaugurated Chief and Deputy Chief Justice. (FID/UN) (GWH/HD)
