President Prabowo Accompanies PM Narendra Modi’s Visit to Indonesia’s Parliament

President Prabowo Subianto joined state visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). The event took place at the Pustakaloka Hall, Nusantara IV Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday (07/07).
Upon his arrival, PM Modi was welcomed by Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) Ahmad Muzani, Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Puan Maharani, and Speaker of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin.
After PM Modi signed the guest book, he and President Prabowo posed for a group photo alongside Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and heads of Indonesia’s state institutions. Then, they headed to a meeting room.
During the meeting, PM Modi delivered a speech before members of the House of Representatives. The event concluded with a commemorative group photo session at Pustakaloka Hall.
The visit to Indonesia’s legislative institution was an important part of Prime Minister Modi’s state visit to Indonesia. Beyond strengthening government-to-government relations, the engagement also strengthened parliamentary diplomacy and expanded friendship ties between the people of both countries, as a foundation to solidify the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
