President Prabowo Affirms Commitment to Build Healthy, Smart Generation

President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the future of Indonesia depends on its young generation’s quality. Therefore, the Government prioritizes the fulfillment of nutritious standards for Indonesian children through Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
“Our children are our future. They should never suffer from hunger. They should never go to school with empty stomach. It is the commitment of the Government that I lead,” President Prabowo said in his remarks during the event to celebrate the promulgation of the Government Regulation on Governance for Electronic System Providers in Child Protection, held at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Friday (03/28).
President Prabowo mentioned that MBG program has been implemented since January 2025 and has given benefit to three million children. The Government is committed to keep increasing the number of beneficiaries of the MBG program.
“Insya Allah (God willing), we plan to provide meals every day for all Indonesian children and pregnant women by the end of this year. It will cover 82.9 million beneficiaries. It is one of the biggest programs in the world,” the President said.
Besides MBG, President Prabowo also highlighted the importance of routine medical check-up which is recommended to be done once in a year on the citizen’s birthday. The President also called on the people to take benefit of the medical check-up program.
“I have received reports saying that many people are unwilling to have a medical check-up. Maybe they are worried about the result. Actually, we must know for sure our health condition, so preventive measures can be taken,” the President added.
President Prabowo also advised Indonesian children to avoid negative influences, especially in the digital era when everything is accessible. The President pointed up that all government policies and programs today are aimed at preparing a better future for Indonesian children.
“Be careful, children, avoid negative things. You should learn well, you have a bright future, Indonesia’s future is bright. We are all here to prepare a better future for the children,” the President said.
