President Prabowo Affirms Gov’t Commitment with 62,000 Housing Loan Agreements

President Prabowo Subianto affirmed the Government’s commitment to carry on several programs which provide concrete benefits to the people, while also boosting the national economy.

The President made the statement during the mass signing of 62,000 Housing Loan Agreements (KPR) and Housing Microcredit Schemes (KUR) worth Rp880 billion at the Puri Delta City Side Batang area, Batang regency, Central Java province, on Thursday (07/30).

“I don’t want to make many promises. We will see the results in the next development. We will keep working on our plans. For us, we work faster to provide the concrete results to our people soon, to drive our economy,” he said.

The President went on to say that what the Government has achieved over the past nearly two years proved that Indonesia’s national development is on the right track. It proves that the Government’s efforts start showing good result amid global challenges and uncertainties.

He added that Indonesia must be able to maintain this development momentum by enhancing efficiency in the governance. He underscored the importance of budget efficiency and prudentiality in managing state budget and eliminating budget leakage so that the state resources can be used for the greatest benefits of the people.

“We are grateful for what we have. Therefore, we must be more efficient. We should be more meticulous, and we must eliminate every source of waste and leakage. We have to stop all leakages because the world is in an extremely uncertain situation. The conflict in the Middle East is likely to be prolonged, and we must be mentally prepared for it to expand and become even more severe. We are grateful that our country’s potential is enormous,” he stated.

On that occasion, the Head of the State also delivered his appreciation to the ministers, institutions, regional governments, banks, and all sides for their collaboration in providing financial scheme for the people. The synergy, he added, strengthens the belief that national development has a strong foundation.

President Prabowo also stated that all government’s policies are developed for the interest of Indonesian people. Amid a more challenging global situation, the Government will continue to work wholeheartedly so that the benefits of development can be felt widely by the people, including through housing programs that have become one of the drivers of the national economy.
