President Prabowo Subianto has expressed his intention to increase the distribution of credit for the people up to Rp400 trillion in 2027, aiming to stimulate the economy from the regional level. This financing is targeted at farmers, fishermen, rural communities, those living in remote and underdeveloped areas, as well as low-income groups in urban settings.

“Next year—God willing, as we realize our plans and achieve our goals—I intend to allocate Rp400 trillion to farmers, fishermen, and those living in rural areas, remote regions, and underdeveloped areas, as well as to low-income individuals in urban areas,” said the President in his remarks at the National Coordination Meeting of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta, Thursday (10/22).

President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the credit distribution, which reached approximately Rp53 trillion and benefited around two million people. The President hopes that the reach of this financing will continue to be expanded in order to improve the public’s standards of living.

President Prabowo emphasized that the expansion of credit is part of efforts to strengthen people’s economic activity across all regions. “Our current focus is on stimulating the economy. We do not just want to stimulate it from the top; we want to generate the economy from the bottom, from the regions, and we will develop every single region,” he said.

On that occasion, President Prabowo also stated that the strength of the national economy must be felt directly by the public in their daily lives, including those who work and run businesses to support their families’ livelihoods.

“The nation’s true economic strength must be felt tangibly by the people, by farmers in the villages, fishermen along the coasts, traders in the markets, those running micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, and the women striving to support their families’ finances,” he said.

President Prabowo emphasized that prosperity must be reflected in an increase in the public’s real income and the purchasing power of every family. This serves as the direction for the economic policy favored by the Government.

“Well-being must not merely be a slogan. The true meaning of well-being is that people’s real income, in reality, must increase. It must increase. Every family must possess tangible purchasing power,” the President asserted.

To support this objective, the President highlighted the responsibility of both central and regional governments in safeguarding and managing Indonesia’s wealth. According to him, securing natural resources can enhance the state’s capacity to improve public welfare.

“Indonesia’s natural resources must be safeguarded and managed for the greatest possible prosperity of our people,” he said.

The President also reminded regional leaders that the well-being of the people is a source of pride in exercising leadership. He emphasized that all of the nation’s potential must be directed toward achieving that goal.

“All of our potential is meant to strengthen our goal, namely the prosperity of our people. I want to be president so that I can see my people prosper,” said President Prabowo.

This statement further reinforces the economic policy direction of President Prabowo’s administration, which set the grassroots economy as the foundation of national strength. By expanding financing to reach IDR 400 trillion in 2027, the Government aims to create more business opportunities, strengthen household economies, and ensure that development reaches every part of Indonesia.
