President Prabowo and Tony Blair Discuss Global Strategic Updates at Kertanegara Residence

President Prabowo Subianto received former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Tony Blair at his private residence on Kertanegara Street, Jakarta, Monday (07/06) evening. The meeting took place after President Prabowo received a visit from Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base.
“The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere at his private residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta. The meeting of two old friends served as a significant moment to reminisce and strengthen friendly ties,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya wrote it in a written statement.
In addition to strengthening ties, the Cabinet Secretary stated that the two figures also used the meeting to exchange views.
“On that occasion, the two also exchanged views on various global strategic developments,” he continued.
Tony Blair is one of global figures with extensive experience in global leadership. He served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for three consecutive terms, from 1997 to 2007.
The meeting between President Prabowo and Tony Blair reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining communication with international leaders and prominent figures. The Cabinet Secretary also noted that through this meeting, Indonesia can expand its cooperation networks and strengthen its position on the international stage.
“Through strategic meetings like this, the government is committed to continuously strengthening ties with various international leaders and figures in order to enhance Indonesia’s standing and competitiveness on the global stage,” he wrote.
