President Prabowo Subianto attended the National Coordination Meeting of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Thursday (10/22). Carrying the theme “Accelerating Sustainable Financial Access for the Welfare of the Indonesian People,” the meeting brought together the Central Government, regional governments, and financial sector stakeholders to strengthen equitable access to financial services for the public.

In her report to President Prabowo, Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Friderica Widyasari Dewi said that the organization of the TPAKD National Coordination Meeting supported the Asta Cita (eight missions), particularly in promoting equitable economic development, eradicating poverty, and improving public welfare.

“We currently have 552 Regional Financial Access Acceleration Teams across all provinces, regencies, and cities in Indonesia,” Friderica said.

She also explained that the progress was monitored annually. The OJK also collaborated with the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS) in conducting National Survey on Financial Literacy and Inclusion.

According to Friderica’s report, the financial literacy rate in 2026 had reached 69 percent, while Indonesia’s financial inclusion rate exceeded 93 percent. The inclusion achievement had surpassed the target of the National Medium-Term Development Plan of 93 percent by 2029, she added.

“Of course, this is the result of excellent cooperation between the [Central] Government, the OJK, Bank Indonesia, and all regional governments, regencies, and cities across Indonesia,” she said.

In his remarks, President Prabowo expressed appreciation to the establishment of TPAKD in all provinces, regencies, and cities across Indonesia by the end of 2024. The President considered the establishment of the institution a commendable achievement.

“This is an institutional achievement that we should appreciate and be proud of,” the President said.

He also expressed appreciation to all parties that contributed to the establishment of TPAKD throughout the regions.

“I would like to express my appreciation to the OJK, regional governments, Bank Indonesia, and all parties that have worked to establish this institution,” he said.

On that occasion, President Prabowo also highlighted the presence of representatives of beneficiaries from various groups in society. Their attendance demonstrated the reach of financial access across various sectors of work and community activities.

“I have also received a report that there are representatives of beneficiaries from various sectors, including online drivers, farmers, fishers, traders, and Islamic boarding school students,” the President said.

The 2026 TPAKD National Coordination Meeting was attended by, among others, leaders of state institutions, members of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD), ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, and regional heads from across Indonesia. (BPMI) (EST/MMB)
