President Prabowo Arrives at Government House of Thailand, Welcomed with Official Ceremony

President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the Government House of Thailand and received an honorable official welcome from Prime Minister of Thailand, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, on Monday (05/19). The moment served as a symbol of a strengthened bilateral relationship between the two friendly neighboring countries in the Southeast Asia region.
President Prabowo arrived at the front area of the Thai Khu Fah Building and was directly welcomed by PM Paetongtarn. The official ceremony started with the reverberation of the national anthems of Indonesia, “Indonesia Raya,” and Thailand, creating a solemn atmosphere reflecting mutual respect between the two countries.
Following the national anthems, President Prabowo, along with PM Paetongtarn, inspected the guard of honor and continued with the introduction of official delegates from both countries. Indonesian delegates consisted of Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartanto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand Rachmat Budiman.
After the introduction, both Heads of State entered the Thai Khu Fah Building and had a photo session at the Government House. President Prabowo then proceeded to the Ivory Room to sign the state guest book.
“Long live the friendship between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Indonesia,” President Prabowo wrote.
The series of agendas continued with a bilateral meeting or the 1st Leaders Consultation held in the Bhakdi Bodin Building, Government House. In his remarks, President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome made by the Government of Thailand for his official visit.
“I’d like to thank PM Paetongtarn and the Government of Thailand for receiving me today with warm and kind gestures,” said the President.
Meanwhile, PM Paetongtarn expressed optimism for the future strategic relationship between Thailand and Indonesia. She emphasised the importance of the meeting with President Prabowo as a momentum to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in various sectors.
Concluding the official agenda series, President Prabowo and PM Paetongtarn delivered a joint press statement before the media. As a closing ceremony, PM Paetongtarn invited President Prabowo and delegates to an official luncheon, reflecting warm diplomatic relations between the two nations.
