President Prabowo Arrives in Abu Dhabi for State Visit
In a series of state visits to several countries, President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UEA) on Saturday (11/23) at 08.40 local time.
Upon arrival, President Prabowo was welcomed by UEA’s Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Husin Bagis, and the Indonesian Defense Attaché Brigadier General TNI Muhammad Irawadi.
Previously, upon entering UAE’s sky, the presidential aircraft carrying President Prabowo was immediately escorted by four Emirati air force fighter jets.
From the VVIP landing terminal, President Prabowo and his entourage then headed to a hotel in Abu Dhabi. Along the way, the streets of Abu Dhabi were adorned with light pole banners displaying the flags of Indonesia and the UAE.
In this state visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to meet President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, marking the commitment to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
For the record, President Prabowo and his entourage departed from London, the United Kingdom on Friday (11/22) 21.25 local time.
