President Prabowo Arrives in Brazil to Attend G20 Summit

President Prabowo Subianto and his entourage on Saturday (11/16) arrived at Galeão Air Base, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at around 11.25 p.m. local time.

The President’s arrival was welcomed by Commander of the Air Base Colonel Aviador Fabio Ferreira Silva, Ambassador of Brazil to Indonesia George Monteiro Prata, Ambassador of Indonesia to Brazil Edi Yusup, and Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Brasilia Colonel Inf. Rizal Ashwam Amanda.

The guard of honor then escorted President Prabowo to his vehicle. From the airport, President Prabowo proceeded to the hotel where he would stay during his visit to Brazil.

During this visit, President Prabowo is slated to attend the G20 Summit and will have bilateral meetings with several leaders of friendly countries on the sideline of his agenda.

Previously, President Prabowo departed from the Grupo Alar 8 Air Force Military Base, Jorge Chavez International Airport, Lima, in Peru, at around 4.50 p.m. local time.
