President Prabowo Arrives in Brunei Darussalam for State Visit

President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday (05/14) arrived at Brunei International Airport in Bandar Seri Begawan at approximately 10:10 a.m. local time.

The President was greeted upon arrival by guard of honor, a number of high-ranking Bruneian officials, and representatives of the Indonesian mission.

Among those from Brunei were Minister of Home Affairs, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman; Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof; Minister of Development, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid; Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan; Acting Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Dato Seri Pahlawan Sulaiman bin Alidin; and the Bruneian Ambassador to Indonesia, Brigadier General (Ret.) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir.

Representing Indonesia were the Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Achmad Ubaedillah, and the Defense Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan, Colonel Inf. Gamma Arthadilla Sakti.

From the airport, President Prabowo proceeded first to a hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan before visiting Istana Nurul Iman. There, he will undertake a state visit and meet with His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

The visit reflects good relations between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, as well as the shared commitment of both leaders to deepen regional cooperation amid today’s global dynamics.

Accompanying President Prabowo on the Brunei visit were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto; Coordinating Minister for Social Welfare Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar; Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono; Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers Abdul Kadir Karding; and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
