President Prabowo Arrives in Karawang for Great Harvest, National Food Self-Sufficiency Achievement Announcement

President Prabowo Subianto, Wednesday (01/07), arrived in Karawang regency, West Java province, for a working visit.

The President landed at the helipad of Aquaculture Business Service Center in Sukajadi village, Cilebar subdistrict, Karawang regency.

Upon arrival, the President was welcomed by Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi, Sunan Gunung Jati Military Resort Commander Colonel Inf. Hista Soleh Harahap, and the local community.

Along the way to the event location in Kertamukti village, Cilebar district, thousands of people crowded the sides of the road to watch President Prabowo’s arrival. From atop his vehicle, President Prabowo greeted them warmly, waving his hand, and stopping several times to interact more closely with the community.

In Kertamukti village, the President is slated to attend the events of the Great Harvest and Announcement of the 2025 National Food Self-Sufficiency.

For the record, food self-sufficiency is the national priority agenda that, as the President consistently underscored, serves as the foundation of national resilience, national sovereignty, and public welfare. Through the cross-institutional collaboration of ministries, Government agencies, regional governments, farmers, and businesspeople, as well as public support, Indonesia was able to achieve food self-sufficiency status at the end of 2025, in line with the national target.
