President Prabowo Attends G20 Summit in Rio

Scheduled to attend the G20 Summit, President Prabowo Subianto, arrived at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Monday (11/18).

Arriving at around 09.25 AM local time, the President was seen wearing a blue suit and a black peci (traditional Muslim cap).

As soon as President Prabowo entered the VVIP lobby, he was greeted by the Brazilian honor guards. Afterward, President of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva greeted him with a warm smile and a firm handshake, which are symbols of diplomacy between the two nations’ leaders.

Captured in a group photo session, President Prabowo was seen chatting casually with President Lula da Silva. After that, President Prabowo headed to the waiting room to join the leaders of G20 and other member countries of international organizations before heading to the meeting room.

At the summit focusing on ‘Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet,’ President Prabowo attended several dialogue sessions. The first session was titled ‘Fight against Hunger and Poverty’ and the second was ‘Reform of The Institutions of Global Governance’.

Furthermore, on the sidelines of the Summit, President Prabowo held bilateral meetings with several leaders of friendly countries.
