The majestic and historic Élysée Palace witnessed to the harmony of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and France as President Prabowo Subianto attended the private dinner hosted by President of France Emmanuel Macron on Monday evening (07/14).

Upon arriving at the Élysée Palace, President Prabowo was welcomed by the Chief of Protocol of France. The President then walked along the line of honor guards standing in formation. At the end of the line, President Macron warmly greeted President Prabowo. The two heads of state shook hands and proceeded to a photo session before entering the palace’s banquet hall.

The dinner was held following the celebration of France’s National Day, or Bastille Day, during which President Prabowo also participated as a guest of honor in the military parade in Place de la Concorde.

In the elegantly arranged banquet hall, President Prabowo was served an array of traditional French dishes. In a friendly atmosphere, both leaders exchanged views on various strategic issues regarding their countries’ and global affairs.

The dinner at the Élysée Palace was held not merely as a protocol event, but also as a symbol of diplomacy, reaffirming the commitment and friendship of both countries to continue moving forward amidst global dynamics. (BPMI) (EST/TM)
