As part of his state visit to Brunei Darussalam, President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (05/14) attended a state luncheon hosted by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah at the Royal Dining Hall, Nurul Iman Palace, Bandar Seri Begawan.

The luncheon highlighted the deep bonds of brotherhood between Indonesian and Brunei Darussalam, which was built on mutual respects, shared culture, and regional cooperation.

On that occasion, the banquet featured a mix of traditional dishes and modern twists.

The atmosphere was made even more special with live music that brought together Indonesian, Bruneian, and international tunes.

A series of songs like Dang Mengalai, Keroncong Kemayoran, Bengawan Solo, and Rek Ayo Rek brought a nostalgic feel to the event, while international classics such as Fly Me to the Moon, My Way, and What a Wonderful World added a global touch. Meanwhile, regional favorites like Joget Mukun Kesiangan, Joget Seri Kenangan, and Mencintaimu helped create a warm and intimate atmosphere between the two delegates.

The ambience during the state luncheon reflected a close friendship between the two nations.

President Prabowo’s state visit to Brunei Darussalam was more than a formal diplomatic engagement; rather, it was also a celebration of friendship, shared culture, and culinary heritage that strengthens the close ties between the two nations sharing common ethnic roots.
