President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (06/12) attended the swearing-in ceremony of 1,451 judges at the Supreme Court Building in Jakarta.

The judges are graduates of the Integrated Training Program for Prospective Judges, a strategic national initiative aimed at reinforcing the state’s commitment to judicial system reform.

The ceremony began with the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, followed by the Supreme Court’s Hymn.

The inauguration continued with the symbolic handover of Presidential Decrees to 40 judge representatives by President Prabowo himself.

On that occasion, the President expressed his appreciation for the invitation and underscored the crucial role of judicial institutions such as the Supreme Court, the Constitutional Court, and the Judicial Commission in strengthening the rule of law, while also urging judges to uphold integrity.

“You are the last bastion of justice. The poor and marginalized can only rely on fair judges. The powerful may afford strong legal teams, but the common people rely solely on fair judges, judges who cannot be bribed, who cannot be swayed, and who genuinely care for the people. The future of Indonesian justice lies in your hands,” the President stated.

In the meantime, Head of the Agency for Strategy, Policy, and Judicial Training Bambang Hery Mulyono said that the training program is designed not only to produce judges with strong legal competence, but also with high moral integrity and ethical resilience.

“The Integrated Training Program for Prospective Judges is comprehensively designed to equip future judges with legal and technical expertise, national insight, professional ethics, strong judicial leadership,” he added.

Bambang also expressed his gratitude for the presence of President Prabowo and the Government’s support in increasing judicial capacity.

He emphasized that the newly appointed judges are the nation’s finest sons and daughters, ambassadors of justice, who will deliver rulings rooted in fairness, firmness, and impartiality within Indonesia’s judicial system.

“May this historic moment serve as a lasting memory and a source of motivation for the newly appointed judges as they embark on their careers in the judiciary,” Bambang said. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RIF/MMB)
