President Prabowo Subianto Tuesday (05/20) summoned Minister of Investment and Downstream/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), who also serves as CEO of BPI Danantara Indonesia (Indonesia’s Investment Management Agency) Rosan Roeslani, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

On that occasion, President Prabowo discussed a number of strategic agendas for the future of State-owned Enterprises investments and the importance of strengthening governance in national development projects.

According to Rosan, the President underscored that all investment activities carried out by Danantara must be grounded in the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance. These principles should apply across all sectors from downstream industries to clean energy industries.

“The President has given directives, emphasizing the importance of strong governance, openness, and accountability. The directives also underlined that State-owned Enterprises must strive to be better and serve as the driving force, especially in encouraging job creation,” Rosan stated.

Rosan further explained that Danantara Indonesia will be supported by expert teams and offer opportunities for experts from various fields to ensure professionally managed and impactful investment.

“We must account for all the funds we manage. We are committed to forming a professional team and welcoming experts needed to ensure better governance for investment management,” he added.

Regarding Danantara’s investment portfolio, Rosan noted that several strategic projects have undergone thorough due diligence and are now in the final stages of completion.

He ensured that all processes have complied with financial, legal, administrative, and technological standards.

“We are also committed to keeping the public informed about our investments. What matters most to us is that every step we take follows due process, is comprehensive, and aligns with current regulations,” Rosan remarked.
