President Prabowo Carries Out LRT Operational Trial of Kelapa Gading-Manggarai New Track in 28 Minutes

President Prabowo Subianto carried out the Jakarta LRT (Light Rail Transit) operational trial of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai new track on Wednesday (9/16). During the trip, the President inspected the readiness and service of the public transport in connecting North Jakarta and South Jakarta.
Upon arriving at Kelapa Gading LRT Station, President Prabowo was welcomed by schoolchildren and accompanied by Betawi traditional music, Keroncong Tugu. In the concourse area, he tapped his travel card to start the LRT experience.
Before continuing to the platform, the President also stopped to visit a reading corner facility. He then prepared to take the LRT to the Manggarai LRT station.
On the train that runs on elevated rails above the street, the President enjoyed the trip while looking around the carriage and the atmosphere. The public was also invited to join the trip. The approximate travel time was about 28 minutes.
The Kelapa Gading-Manggarai track length is 12.2 km and has 11 stops—Kelapa Gading, North Boulevard, South Boulevard, Pulomas, Equestrian, Velodrome, Rawamangun, Pramuka, Matraman, Proklamasi, and Manggarai.
The President experienced firsthand the capital city connectivity via public transportation. Upon arriving at Manggarai station, he proceeded to the concourse area to tap out and end his journey.
“Congratulations, I am excited today. I enjoyed the trip with LRT; it was amazing,” expressed the President.
