President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (06/12) chaired a limited cabinet meeting at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the President and Cabinet members discussed preparation for the construction of Giant Sea Wall in the northern coast of Java Island.

“President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, chaired a limited cabinet meeting on preparation for the construction of Giant Sea Wall in the northern coast of Java Island,” Cabinet Secretary said .

Teddy explained that this initiative is part of the Government’s measures to protect coastal areas vulnerable to the impact of climate change and rising sea levels. The construction of the Giant Sea Wall is also expected to shield coastal zones from the threat of land erosion, enhance environmental resilience, and provide clean water sources for coastal regions.

Through this project, the Government aims to protect communities living in Java’s northern coast and ensure sustainable environmental resilience for the future. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (RI/LW)
