President Prabowo Chairs Limited Meeting on Forest Restoration

From London, UK, President Prabowo chairs a limited meeting via video conference on Monday (01/19) to discuss progress of the nationwide forest area restoration.
President Prabowo Subianto, on Monday (01/19), chaired a limited meeting via video conference to discuss progress of the nationwide forest area restoration. The meeting was held during the President’s working visit to London, UK.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, in his written statement, said that the participants of the meeting included several Red and White Cabinet members in Jakarta.
“President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting via video conference with several members of the Red and White Cabinet in Jakarta, including the Attorney General, Minister of Defense, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency, Minister of Law, Minister of State Secretary, and Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency, on Monday, January 19, 2026,” the Cabinet Secretary wrote.
The Cabinet Secretary also mentioned that several other members who accompanied the President during his working visit took part in the meeting, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, and himself.
In addition, the Cabinet Secretary explained that the meeting specifically discussed the work progress of the Task Force for the Restoration of Forest Areas, which the President formed in January 2025, two months after being sworn into office.
President Prabowo’s decision to lead this strategic meeting from abroad confirms that this agenda is a national priority and reflects the Government’s seriousness in providing greater legal certainty, improving the environment, and managing state assets in the forestry sector.
