President Prabowo Concludes Official Visit to Thailand

President Prabowo Subianto departed for home, on Monday (05/19), after completing a three-day official visit to Bangkok, Thailand. The plane carrying President Prabowo and his limited entourage took off from Don Mueang Royal Thai Air Force Base at around 4:20 p.m. local time.
Prior to his departure, President Prabowo passed through Thailand’s military honor guard. Attending the farewell ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of Thailand Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Minister of Trade Pichai Naripthaphan, Thai Ambassador to Indonesia Prapan Disyatat, Indonesian Ambassador to Thailand Rachmat Budiman and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Bangkok Colonel Faisal Rahmat Hutagalung.
While in Bangkok, President Prabowo had a series of important engagements, including an official audience with King Maha Vajiralongkorn and a welcoming ceremony by Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, followed by a bilateral meeting between delegations from both countries.
President Prabowo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to further strengthening Indonesia–Thailand relations, which have lasted for more than seven decades. “We’ve had diplomatic ties for 75 years. Our relations have now been upgraded to a strategic partnership,” said President Prabowo during a joint press statement after the bilateral meeting at the Government House, Bangkok.
