President Prabowo Concludes Working Visit to China

President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Indonesia on Wednesday (09/03) at 14.30 Western Indonesian Time after concluding his working visit to People’s Republic of China. The working visit agenda was carried out to fulfill the invitation extended by President of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, and was also aimed at strengthening bilateral relation between Indonesia and China.

Prior to his departure to Indonesia, some high officials attended the send-off ceremony for President Prabowo, i.e. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China Sun Weidong, Indonesian Ambassador to People’s Republic of China Djauhari Oratmangun, and Indonesian Defence Attaché in Beijing First Admiral of Indonesian Defense Forces Sumartono.

During his working visit in Beijing, President Prabowo attended the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory day of People’s Republic of China. The commemoration was attended by a number of world leaders, including 26 Heads of States and Heads of Governments.

After attending the commemoration, President Prabowo had a bilateral meeting with Presiden Xi at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing. The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, and the discussion covered the strengthening of strategic partnership between Indonesia and China.

President Prabowo’s presence in the international forum and the bilateral meeting is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the region and is also expected to bring benefit to both nations. The working visit has also shown the meaning of diplomacy, friendship, and the strengthening of international strategic cooperation.
