President Prabowo Deems Nyepi Moment of Reflection and Peace for the Nation

President Prabowo Subianto, Sunday (03/30), via the Presidential Secretariat’s Youtube channel, delivered Nyepi Day and 1947 Saka New Year greetings to all Hindus who were celebrating the holy days in Indonesia.

“I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and on my own behalf, wish a Happy Nyepi Day and Happy 1947 Saka New Year to all Hindus throughout Indonesia,” the President said.

In his message, the Head of State deemed Nyepi Daya a moment of deep self-reflection and soul-cleansing. Additionally, Nyepi Day is also an opportunity to harmonize the relations between mankind, the universe, and the Creator.

“In this peaceful Nyepi Day, we are invited to contemplate the meaning of life, to strengthen values of virtues, and to improve the spirit of peace,” he added.

Therefore, President Subianto called on Indonesian people to make the spirit of Nyepi Day an inspiration for building a harmonious, peaceful, and happy life. He added that in this diversity, the power of the nation can be found as a joint effort to achieve welfare.

“In our diversity, we find the power of a great nation who is making advancements together for all Indonesian people’s welfare,” he mentioned.

Concluding his remarks, President Prabowo expressed hope that Nyepi Day can bring peace and enlightenment for all the people.
