President Prabowo Delivers Inaugural State of Nation Address

President Prabowo Subianto Friday (08/15) delivered State of the Nation Address at the annual session of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI) and the joint session of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) and the House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) at Nusantara Building, Central Jakarta.
Upon arrival at 08:30 western Indonesian time (WIB), the President was immediately greeted by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Speaker of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani, Speaker of the DPR RI Puan Maharani, and Speaker of the DPD RI Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin.
The event began with the playing of the national anthem of Indonesia Raya and followed by a moment of silence to eulogize the services of the fallen heroes of the nation led by Speaker of the MPR RI.
The session was officially opened by the Speaker of MPR RI and immediately followed by opening remarks of annual session. Subsequently, the Speaker of the DPR also conveyed opening remarks of the joint session.
Afterwards, President Prabowo delivered his inaugural State of the Nation Address before the guests’ after presented a video showcasing the achievements of his leadership and strategic developments across various national sectors.
Also attending the event were the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the 7th President Joko Widodo, the 6th Vice President Try Sutrisno, the 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla, the 11th Vice President Boediono, and the 13th Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
In addition, several ASEAN parliamentary leaders, ambassadors from friendly countries, heads of state institutions, and ministers from the Red and White Cabinet were also in attendance. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (GWH/MUR)
