President Prabowo Departs for W. Kalimantan to Attend Grand Corn Harvest and Release First Corn Export to Malaysia

President Prabowo Subianto departed from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, at approximately 07:45 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on Thursday morning, June 5, 2025, for a working visit to West Kalimantan Province.

A send-off ceremony was held for President Prabowo’s departure and attended by several high-ranking officials, including Commander of the Jakarta Military Region Rafael Granada Baay, Chief of Jakarta Police Inspector General Karyoto, Vice Commander of Air Operations Command I Air Vice Marshal Prasetiya Halim, and Commander of Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase Air Vice Marshal Erwin Sugiandi.

President Prabowo is scheduled to arrive at Supadio Air Force Base, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan, and will continue his journey to Bengkayang Regency by helicopter. In Bengkayang Regency, President Prabowo will attend the Second Quarter Simultaneous Grand Corn Harvest, as part of efforts to increase agricultural productivity and achieve food self-sufficiency.

In Bengkayang, to mark an important momentum for national food logistics, President Prabowo is scheduled to inaugurate 18 Indonesian National Police warehouses in 12 regional police locations, as well as the “Pangan Merah Putih” Corn Warehouse and Dryer Factory. Moreover, President Prabowo will also release the first export of corn to Kuching, Malaysia, which shows the increasing competitiveness of Indonesian agricultural products in the international market, especially in the Southeast Asian region.
