President Prabowo Emphasizes Importance of Harmony in Facing Global Challenges

President Prabowo Subianto attended the celebration of 60th Anniversary of Golkar Party held at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor regency, West Java province, on Thursday (12/12). In his speech, the President emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony and national unity amid a challenging global situation.

“We must remain vigilant, we cannot be divided, nor can we be pitted against one another. We must uphold harmony, harmony among religious communities, ethnic groups, and racial groups. We must not be provoked, and it is our shared responsibility as leaders to ensure this,” he stated.

The Head of State conveyed that peace does not come freely but is the result of collective efforts. Therefore, the President urged leaders across all levels to stay harmonious and to be united in addressing global challenges.

“The key is for all leaders, from all levels, to work in harmony and unity. It does not mean we cannot have differences of opinion, but in the end, we must not become enemies. I refuse to be provoked into hatred,” he added.

On this occasion, the President also called on everyone to prioritize deliberation and wisdom in resolving differences. He also reminded the importance of unity amid challenges faced by the nation.

In his speech, President Prabowo also highlighted the impact of technological advancements, particularly social media, which can be a divisive tool if not used wisely. He noted that fake news on social media can sow hatred within society.

“Social media, sometimes I’m surprised by it. For instance, ‘What’s this? Prabowo scolding someone? Prabowo shouting?’ None of it happened. I checked, and it turned out to be hoaxes.
