President Prabowo Emphasizes KSTI 2025 Must be Free from Politicization

President Prabowo Subianto affirmed that the Convention of Science, Technology, and Industry Indonesia 2025 is a scientific forum that must be protected from political influence. The President made the statement to the press after delivering his keynote speech at the event, which was held at Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), on Thursday (08/07).
In response to the media’s inquiries about the closed-door sessions at the Convention, President Prabowo Subianto explained that the decision was made to allow participants to have more substantive and open discussions. The President stated that by holding sessions away from public view, participants could speak freely without fear of their views being distorted or spun for public opinions.
“So that discussions can be more open. Don’t twist it, don’t politicize it. We’re talking about science here. We’re talking about knowledge, science, and technology,” he said. The statement reflected President Prabowo’s commitment to protecting the integrity of scientific forums from the influence of practical political interests.
The Convention of Science, Technology, and Industry Indonesia 2025 is a strategic event that brings together scientists, academics, industry professionals, and policymakers from various national priority sectors.
