President Prabowo Subianto Wednesday (10/07) delivered directives to 800 senior officers of the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (Polri) at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta.

The event began with the singing of national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and followed by reports from the Commander of the TNI and Chief of the Indonesian National Police.

In his report, General Agus Subiyanto said the event provided an opportunity to align institutional visions and strengthen solidarity and coordination among TNI personnel in fulfilling their duties to the nation and the state.

He added that the President’s directives would guide the formulation of future measures and policies.

“Amid an evolving strategic environment and increasingly complex challenges, including cyber, information, and hybrid threats, the President’s directives will guide future actions and policies, as well as efforts to strengthen the TNI’s role in national defense,” he said.

Echoing that sentiment, Chief of the Indonesian National Police Suyudi Ario Seto said the event provided an opportunity for the Indonesian National Police and the TNI to receive the President’s directives, policy guide, and key points, which would guide the performance of their duties and the exercise of leadership within their respective institutions.

“The Indonesian National Police stands ready, at every level of the institution, to support the Government’s policies and priority programs in accordance with its function and authority, particularly by maintaining public safety and order, enforcing the law, and protecting, guiding, and serving the public,” he said.

In his remarks, President Prabowo Subianto outlined the country’s current situation and the challenges facing the nation. The briefing provided an opportunity for senior TNI and the Indonesian National Police officers to develop a shared understanding of these challenges and use the President’s directives to guide their duties across Indonesia as the Government approaches its second year in office.
