President Prabowo Encourages Businesspeople to Unite for Nation’s Welfare

President Prabowo Subianto gave instructions in his remarks during National Conference of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) held at The Ritz-Carlton hotel, Mega Kuningan, Jakarta, on Thursday (11/16) following the inauguration of Anindya Novyan Bakrie as Chairperson of Indonesian KADIN and M. Arsjad Rasjid P.M. as Chairperson of Indonesian KADIN’s Advisory Board for the 2024-2029 term.

In his remarks, President Prabowo expressed his appreciation to KADIN for successfully holding the conference that emphasized the significance of unity amidst challenging global dynamics. The Head of State firmly stated that unity is necessarily needed by Indonesia to face geopolitical, geoeconomic, and global geostrategic competitions.

“I have said many times on many occasions that amidst geopolitical, geoeconomic, and global geostrategic dynamics, the competitions among economic blocs, among superpowers are becoming increasingly fierce. Being in the competitions requires all nation’s elements to be more cautious, especially for nations such as Indonesia,” President Prabowo said.

President Prabowo also reminded the audience of the importance of collaboration and unity among Indonesian businesspeople in the effort to boost the nation’s welfare. “Competition is good, but not for shutting down each other’s business. Let us compete for the people’s welfare. People need welfare, and businesspeople lead the way,” President Prabowo remarked.

President Prabowo also stressed the importance of strengthened human resources to be excellent and with integrity as they are the main foundation of the nation’s advance. Furthermore, the President called on the businesspeople to support the Government’s major agenda, including boosting investment and encouraging innovation in various sectors.

“We need a dynamic KADIN, bold, innovative, cooperative, and Indonesia-incorporated businesspeople,” the President stated.

He also affirmed that all the Government policies are dedicated to the importance of the Indonesian nation and people. President Prabowo and all his cabinet are committed to implementing the policies at its best.

“No other importance, no other orientations, because it is for the importance of the nation, the importance of the state, the importance of the people.
