President Prabowo Ensures Energy and Food Supply Ahead of Eid al-Fitr

President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting with a number of ministers at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta (03/04) to ensure the preparedness of energy and food sectors ahead of Eid al-Fitr. In the meeting, the Government thoroughly checked the stock availability and price stability, so the people can go through Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr moments at ease.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia mentioned that the Government has done inter-sector checkings to ensure that there will be sufficient energy and food supplies. “Mr. Zul and I have reported to the President that the prices are still affordable in energy and food sectors,” Bahlil said before the press after the meeting.
According to Bahlil, President Prabowo also gave his directives to all ministries/institutions to monitor and update situation ahead of Eid al-Fitr, especially on energy and basic needs supplies.
“We must monitor all updates on the preparedness of Eid al-Fitr, especially related to energy, there should not be shortages on oil, gas, and food, as discussed with Mr. Zul,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Food Security Affairs Zulkifli Hasan assured that national food supply is secured and under control. Related to the impacts of global conflicts on food supply, the Coordinating Minister firmly stated that the national food supply, especially rice, is sufficient.
“The stock is adequate. We have enough rice with four million stocks. It is more than enough,” he said.
Through such anticipations, President Prabowo reaffirms the Government’s commitment to ensure that the people can do Ramadhan rituals and celebrate Eid al-Fitr at ease, without worrying about energy and basic needs supplies.
