President Prabowo Ensures Optimal Flood Relief Efforts for Affected Residents in Langkat Regency, N. Sumatra Province

President Prabowo Subianto, Saturday (12/13), inspected the evacuation shelter for flood-affected residents at State Islamic High School MAN I Langkat in Langkat regency, North Sumatra province, to ensure effective flood relief efforts and the fulfilment of their basic necessities.

Upon arrival at the school, the President headed to the community kitchen that serves as a food provision center to ensure that the food preparation and distribution process runs smoothly and meets the need of all affected residents at the shelter.

Afterward, the President proceeded to the evacuation post, which shelters a total of 299 families or 1,015 people waiting for conditions in their neighborhoods to be safe for their return.

On that occasion, President Prabowo interacted directly with the flood-affected residents, listening to their concerns and asking about their daily needs at the evacuation shelter.

The President also inspected the medical aid post that provides medical services for the residents. At the post, he talked to a mother who was getting his son checked up and wished him a speedy recovery.

The President stated that the Government will continue to work to tackle the impact of floods in Langkat regency, underscoring that the people’s safety and recovery remain their top priority.

“We will help every resident affected by the disaster because you are part of us; we are your family. You are our family. We will not leave you alone,” he remarked.
