President Prabowo personally escorted the departure of King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein on Saturday (11/15). This moment followed a joint agenda at the Djamsuri Air Force Shooting Range, Halim Perdanakusuma.
From the Djamsuri Air Force Shooting Range to Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, President Prabowo and King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein traveled together in one vehicle, reflecting the closeness of the two leaders.
Upon arrival at the air base, as they took off from the vehicle, the two leaders were seen warmly talking to each other, symbolizing the strong bond between them. President Prabowo then personally escorted King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein to the aircraft stairs as a sign of respect and friendship between the two countries.
The solemn send-off ceremony was accompanied by an honor guard and instrumental music from the music corps. Additionally, the presence of an F-16 jet making several passes over the runway at Halim Perdanakusuma was a mark of respect and a symbol of friendship between the two nations.
The departure of King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein marked the conclusion of a meaningful state visit. Previously, the King had attended key agendas including the welcoming ceremony at Merdeka Palace, a state dinner at the State Palace, meeting with the Investment Management Board of Daya Anagata Nusantara, and witnessing a drone demonstration jointly held by the Indonesian National Defense Forces and the Jordanian Defense Forces.
The two leaders also reaffirmed shared views on maintaining international peace and stability. President Prabowo expressed gratitude for the King’s visit and expressed hope that cooperation between Indonesia and Jordan would grow stronger in the future. (BPMI) (EST/LW)
