President Prabowo, French President Macron Discuss Bilateral Relations, Two-State Solution

President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (07/15) revealed point of notes in a private dinner with President Emmanuel Macron of France to the press. He said that during the warm and collaborative dinner held at Élysée Palace, both leaders discussed various strategic issues aiming at strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and France, and solutions to global issues, particularly the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
“Yesterday (0714), during the meeting, the dinner, we talked about various issues regarding partnership between Indonesia and France. France has been supporting us in the region. In conclusion, we had a very productive talk,” he said in a press statement.
Also on that occasion, both leaders shared their views on the situation in the Middle East, particularly the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. They underscored the importance of a fair and sustainable conflict resolution while reiterating their support for two-state solution as the best way to materialize perpetual peace.
