President Prabowo Gives 465 Billion Rupiah Bonus for SEA Games Medalists

President Prabowo Subianto expressed appreciation to the 33rd SEA Games 2025 medalists on Thursday (01/08) at State Palace, Jakarta. This appreciation marks the Nation’s acknowledgement of their dedication, hard work, and achievement, which succeeded in raising the National Flag in the Southeast Asian sports competition.
In his remarks, President Prabowo showed pride and gratitude to all athletes, coaches, and officials who did their best for the Country. He noted that this is not only the athletes’ achievement but a reflection of the spirit, unity, and perseverance of the Nation.
“As the Head of State and Head of Government, and as an individual, I appreciate all of you who succeeded in bringing the Nation’s victory,” he said.
He also underscored the Government’s commitment to maintain and develop national sports as well as the athletes’ welfare to compete at the regional and international levels.
“I am very proud of you all. My sincere gratitude, on behalf of Indonesia, we are lucky to have enthusiastic young generations. I hope we can show our greatness in the Asian Games and the Olympics. Indonesia is a big and strong nation. Indonesia will rise. You are the symbol of our rise,” he added.
The event started with singing the national anthem “Indonesia Raya”, followed by an appreciation ceremony for giving bonuses to athletes and coaches by President Prabowo. On the occasion, Minister of Sports Erick Thohir reported the contingents’ achievement in the SEA Games. As many as 91 gold medals, 111 silver medals, and 131 bronze medals were achieved in various sports. He showed appreciation to all athletes, coaches, and sports associations for their hard work and solid collaboration.
“A total of 465.25-billion-rupiah bonuses is a great number. Thank you, Mr. President, for your concern. For the single gold medal receives one billion rupiah, which is the greatest amount in history. For the single bronze medal receives 315 million rupiah, and the bronze medal receives 157 billion rupiah. There will be a certain calculation for teams.
