President Prabowo Subianto Thursday (09/11) visited and interacted with students of Margaguna People’s High School (SRMA) in South Jakarta.
To the students, the occasion was not a mere visit: it was a valuable experience to remember. One of the students, Raffan Nur Aprillian, said that he could not hide his emotions.
“I approached him to say hi, then the President patted my head. I was surprised and moved,” he said.
Echoing a similar sentiment, Juanita Hamidah, a student who had the chance to perform a dance before the President, said that one of her dreams came true.
“I feel happy and nervous. I managed to achieve what I wanted. I wanted to take a photo with the President, and now it has happened,” she said.
According to Juanita and her friends, the students are comfortable with the environment despite being only enrolled at the school for a little over two months. They added that the President told them to study diligently, respect the teachers, love their parents, and worship faithfully.
Other students also shared positive feedback about the school, emphasizing its comfortable environment and supporting facilities. “It is comfortable, cool, and the rooms have air conditioners. We meet new friends, the facilities are good, and the food tastes delicious,” a student said.
On that occasion, the students expressed their thanks to President Prabowo because the People’s School (Sekolah Rakyat) program for students from low-income families has given them direct and real benefits, especially in providing equal access to education.
“Thank you for establishing People’s School for us. May you always be blessed with good health, abundance, and a long life. We hope you will visit People’s School again another time,” the students said in unison. (BPMI of Presidential Secretariat) (DH/MUR)
