President Prabowo Highlights Agriculture, Economy, Education at Cabinet Meeting

President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday (10/16) chaired a limited Cabinet meeting with members of the Red and White Cabinet at Kertanegara, Jakarta.

During the meeting, the President and Cabinet members discussed several strategic government agendas, particularly in agricultural, economic, banking, and education sectors.

In his written statement, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the President gave several directives to Ministers to take concrete actions immediately. In agricultural sector, the President ordered Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman to produce high-quality fertilizers.

“The President ordered Minister of Agriculture to immediately produce high-quality fertilizers at affordable price to increase farmers’ productivity and strengthen national food security,” Cabinet Secretary stated.

In addition to agricultural sector, the President also gave special attention to economic and banking sectors.

“The President emphasized the importance of optimizing the use of foreign exchange from exports (DHE) to promote national economic stability and strengthen the country’s foreign exchange reserves,” the Cabinet Secretary said.

In education sector, the President gave special attention to the urgency of preparing excellent human resources who are ready to work in several national strategic sectors.

“The President instructed Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology to prepare more than 2,000 Indonesia’s best talents to get ready in the near future to work in strategic sectors, both in state-owned enterprises and national private companies,” Cabinet Secretary said.

The President’s directives in those sectors reaffirms the Government’s focus on strengthening national self-reliance through increased production, economic stability, and the development of excellent human resources.
